Summer in Southern California, a lot more sunshine mixed in with some humidity, all pointing to boho-beach days and nothing-but-a-swimsuit pool lounging weekends. What’s not to love?! As we head into the latter part of the summer season, pre-fall vibes have started to emerge and why not get a head start with investing on those key transition pieces to take you from summer to fall. And, with so many chic options starting to populate your favorite stores, why not invest in a pre-fall blazer. An easy key piece that can easily take a casual look up a notch with some serious chic-borrowed from the boys vibes, all year long.
For these last weeks of summer, throw a boyfriend-fit blazer (my personal favorite cut) in a bold print or color (camel, copper or golden tones work best), over some tailored cut-offs, a crisp slightly loose-fitting t-shirt (white, black, or stripes) or a simple silk cami casually tucked in. Finish the look off with a simple leather belt and some of the moment western vibe offwhite leather ankle boots, like I did below, and you are ready to go from AM coffee-run to happy hour casual drinks and dinner.
A blazer is an easy all-season staple item that can be repurposed from fall-winter to spring-summer and one of the best investment items to add to your closet musts! For end of summer, I am including a few fun, lighter material, casual-smart options below. Plus, once September rolls around, update this blazer-look with some straight or slightly 70’s flare vibes jeans and layer over a light sweater for cooler days and nights – you’re pre-fall ready.
Happy blazer shopping, your closet will thank you!
