Last days of summer are here [insert sigh], I can’t believe it is already August!…but, at the same time, soooo excited for the season to come…time for piecing together a style transition strategy for Fall. Personally, I love layers, sweaters, and anything cozy! that I can get away with wearing all year and have to admit: I already started building out my layered-look closet to take me into this Fall and beyond!
From those coziest and comfiest of oversize knit sweaters, cardigans and velvety kimonos (I mean does not get cozier than that for Fall! and have a few of these on my wish list…) to those shearling detailed moto jackets and boho-detailed duster coats, I for one cannot wait for the crisp air to arrive! and breathe in the coziness!
However!…however…it is still Summer (yes I know!…but, a girl can think ahead, right?!) and accordingly, the weather is still hot and humid. In this post, I’m sharing how I dressed up the layers for Summer, all while keeping my cool, fitting the bump! and outfitting the closet with transitional pieces.
I am such a fan of the versatility of vests and how they can help build up an outfit any day of the week for any occasion. This flowy olive green vest with large pockets is my absolute fave neutral layering piece. See below to find out how I paired it with this light pink dress and navy blue velvet ankle boots.
Surprisingly, this color combo of light pink, olive green and navy blue turned out to be quite neutral/easy to wear and great for these August days of summer! (Can’t wait to share more about my fave transitional pieces and Fall outerwear…post on that, coming soon!)
