Summer Metallic

Usually, I’m that girl, the one who sticks to the neutrals: black, white, beige, gray and any iteration of these colors. Pretty minimal, pretty basic … but, hey!, it works (at least for me!) and makes me feel chic and ready for anything, any day of the week.

Lately, however, I have been noticing that my style has been gravitating steadily towards incorporating some color. Tones of blush, hues of blues, shots of yellows (yes, I even got a bright yellow sweater, believe-it-or-not!) and best of all, color via metallics in silver and rosé.

Metallic details are popping up in stores for the Fall season and soooo excited to add these fun metals to my closet & build out transition pieces into my wardrobe to keep me going from summer into fall. These are understatedly easy to wear and combine with the cool classics & repeat basics already in your closet to update to an of-the-moment look.

Combining these with edgier classic accessories such as my fave vintage gold rings, DY bracelets from the hubz, & those repeat jean staples (plus a few novelty ones) black, frayed, ripped, pearled! (you will be seeing a lot of these soon on the blog but, head over to my IG for a sneak-peek!) and dark-wash…is a fail-proof formula!

Below, I’m sharing my favorite combination thus far: metallics and black basics and where to shop them. This is officially my new go-to for making my summer 9-5 style effortless and well, a little more fun! … how can it not be when with every step or sway of your arm you are radiating light (or making the hubby squint while manning the camera!)

More to come on summer & transitional outfits but, in the meantime, hope you enjoy my new metallic obsessions shared below!

I want to hear about your style finds or evolution…let me know in the comment section below.
